The developers of the popular browser-based Ethereum wallet MetaMask announced the release of a new version of their software.

MetaMask 5.2.0 is already available in the Chrome and Firefox app stores and should update automatically if the user has the extension installed.

The new version of MetaMask includes an improved mechanism for setting gas payable per transaction. Now the user receives visual information about how long he can expect confirmation by choosing a particular value.



In addition, changes affected the ability to manage unconfirmed transactions. Now, in the MetaMask interface, users have access to options to accelerate and even cancel such transactions.
