CME Group has unveiled new details of its upcoming Bitcoin futures contracts. If a positive decision on the company's application is made on time, the launch of new derivatives may take place on December 11. Information about this was published on the website of the trading platform.

“Please note that CME Group will launch Bitcoin futures effective from December 10, 2017 and available for trading from December 11, 2017, pending the end of the relevant regulatory review period,” the company writes on its website.

It is known that each contract will be equivalent to 5 BTC. The CME Globex and CME ClearPort systems will be used for trading, and the existing CME Group indices will be used to determine the rate. Sale with immediate payment and delivery limited to 1000 contracts.

Recall that the launch of futures may take place in mid-December, the head of the CME Group, Terry Duffy, said last week.
